The 2012 Gold Wing was the first Japanese-built GL1800 and brought the biggest restyle since 2001, while the engine and chassis carried over. A sharper fairing with new vents and better lower-leg wind protection, larger saddlebags, revised suspension settings and an updated seat were joined by an iPod/MP3 interface and a brighter navigation screen.
